1* Yay, great tea could be found in small local shops!
2* Better do not go into Baltics grocery stores or you will end up spending more money on some sweets and drinks than on your weekly grocery shopping
3* There is someone giving a concert every single day. Thanks to my friends I’m going to see DEPECHE MODE already next month! ❤
4* There is plenty of birthday special offers and gifts. I even got a five pounds worth voucher to The Body Shop!
5* Australians are very friendly indeed 🙂
Look at this girl! She is living in the best city in the world and she is going to see Depeche Mode next month! How happy she is, you could never imagine!
New post in Riga TechGirls blog: modern Pirates of start-up sea and their adventures at the Pirate Summit. Written and edited by Veronika Suhareva.
1* Yes, I am actually living in London, and my photographs aren’t photoshopped 😀
2* Even after 2.5 weeks it’s still strange when random people
call you darling or even my love
3* Food is many times more tasty in UK than in Latvia. Grocery shopping is my favorite activity from now, and even through I need to carry three (!!!) large bags from another borough, I manage to spend less money and get more food than back in Riga
4* However, I found it difficult to find a decent tea, as supermarkets are selling mostly the same variety of teas, and I have to go to a Polish shop to buy Lipton tea lol
5* For your tea evenings you can get a full bag of great books (not just cheap pulp fiction with unknown titles) in a charity shop for just four pounds
Now I know what Heaven looks like:
P.S. I can’t believe it’s already TWO WEEKS in London!
Heading to Hogwarts from Kings Cross!
All I ever wanted, all I ever needed is here in my arms…
My biggest dream came true a week ago. I not simply visited London, I MOVED IN. I still cannot find words to describe how happy I am. Words are very unnecessary…
Let me introduce our second article for Riga TechGirls:
You add a lot of value when working in technology field – an interview with Valerija Makijenko by Evita Lune. Editing and photography by Veronika Suhareva.
Today I visited Infogr.am office in Old Town Riga for our Riga TechGirls team meet-up.
Just look at this amazing view from the balcony!
Also wanted to say that it’s such an inspiration to work in a community with such amazing people, with whom you share the vision and want to inspire and motivate other girls and women to educate themselves in IT and maybe even step into technology fields. Most important, women should be brave, motivated, curious, and ready to do something new and awesome!
If this seems close to you and your vision, you can find more information about our community, events and workshops on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Cheers!
