Dreamy spring in London

London, Personal entries

Take a deep breath – spring is finally in London…

London Barbican

This spring is a special one. Even through it started with anomaly snowy and cold weather, warmth and happiness was inside my heart. I am spending this spring in my most favorite city, for the first time ❤ being recently for a visit in Riga, I more and more understood that I am in the right place in my life.

Five random V in London facts / part four

London, Personal entries

1* Commuting in the city might be very tired and exhausting

2* There are so many non-touristic attractions for a fan girl like me, for instance,
a tube station at which Brian Molko met Stefan Olsdal

3* If you like anything in a shop, you need to grab it immediately – there is almost no chance you will find this product again even if you’ll come back on the same day

4* You can easily practice your French in posh areas of London

5* … and feel yourself lost somewhere between Italy, Greece, and Egypt in a variety of amazing museums with enormous collections of historical and art objects from all over the world. Travel around the world without leaving the bounds of one city!

Five random V in London facts / part three

London, Personal entries

1* Busy is the new black

2* Wild nature is everywhere – life in London is so fascinating even for
foxes, squirrels, and mice

3* Every working day has at least one moment of perfection –
a view of London Skyline from an overground train. Even through it lasts
for one or two seconds, it always puts a smile on my face
and motivates me to do more and achieve more – I made it to my biggest dream, so I can do even bigger achievements.

4* My semolina porridge deserves a Michelin star

5* I am sooo springsick and want it to be warm and sunny as soon as possible!
I love London in any weather, but I want to do more and to wear all my pretty clothes!

Birthday girl in London

London, Personal entries

Last week I turned 24 years old (Yay!). As I’ve been dreaming for a very long time, I spent this birthday in the most amazing city in the world – London.

My day started with a lot of deliveries from my friends in Riga and Tallinn.

I also got a Ticketmaster gift card, which I spent on Depeche Mode ticket (<3), congratulations on the radio, and it was my paydaaaay. After my birthday I also received a postcard with a lovely poem about me and London!

For this special day I’ve decided to take a cable car ride above Thames (ommmg so high) with my new friends. After that we also visited spotless and enormous Canary Wharf.

IT & Technology, Personal entries

Today I visited Infogr.am office in Old Town Riga for our Riga TechGirls team meet-up.
Just look at this amazing view from the balcony!6F744F72-3222-4808-A247-A69F3C3E2CC5.jpg
Also wanted to say that it’s such an inspiration to work in a community with such amazing people, with whom you share the vision and want to inspire and motivate other girls and women to educate themselves in IT and maybe even step into technology fields. Most important, women should be brave, motivated, curious, and ready to do something new and awesome!
If this seems close to you and your vision, you can find more information about our community, events and workshops on FacebookInstagram or Twitter. Cheers!
