Take a deep breath – spring is finally in London…
This spring is a special one. Even through it started with anomaly snowy and cold weather, warmth and happiness was inside my heart. I am spending this spring in my most favorite city, for the first time ❤ being recently for a visit in Riga, I more and more understood that I am in the right place in my life.
Spring has always been a perfect time for big changes.
Thus, now I am working in the West End for one of my most favorite footwear brands – UGG!!
I am speechless! While I still cannot believe it, here are some pictures of the view from my new workplace.
Hi everyone! How are you? 🙂
Today marks two years since I’ve started this blog! Thanks everyone for taking time to read my stories and following me ❤
As a tradition, I am sharing some facts about me:
1* Commuting in the city might be very tired and exhausting
2* There are so many non-touristic attractions for a fan girl like me, for instance,
a tube station at which Brian Molko met Stefan Olsdal
3* If you like anything in a shop, you need to grab it immediately – there is almost no chance you will find this product again even if you’ll come back on the same day
4* You can easily practice your French in posh areas of London
5* … and feel yourself lost somewhere between Italy, Greece, and Egypt in a variety of amazing museums with enormous collections of historical and art objects from all over the world. Travel around the world without leaving the bounds of one city!
1* Busy is the new black
2* Wild nature is everywhere – life in London is so fascinating even for
foxes, squirrels, and mice
3* Every working day has at least one moment of perfection –
a view of London Skyline from an overground train. Even through it lasts
for one or two seconds, it always puts a smile on my face
and motivates me to do more and achieve more – I made it to my biggest dream, so I can do even bigger achievements.
4* My semolina porridge deserves a Michelin star
5* I am sooo springsick and want it to be warm and sunny as soon as possible!
I love London in any weather, but I want to do more and to wear all my pretty clothes!
It has been a long time since my last post.
Time flies fast when in London. And it flies very productive!
Since my last blog entry, I:
* got a job in the fashion industry! Check our comfortable and stylish products on Anatomic Shoes website
* went to Depeche Mode concert
* met Stefan Olsdal from Placebo
* visited the Sherlock Holmes museum
* was celebrity hunting for Martin Freeman
* saw to much wild life in my area, including a fox family
* saw snow in London
* was asked for a selfie with an Indian tourist on the London Bridge
* continued modeling
* had my first photosession in London
* found a perfect Arctic Monkeys sweatshirt
* visited several bonfire nights where they were playing Muse
* made new friends, including dog friends
* and more more more …..
Now it’s time to prepare separate posts for the highlights! Stay tuned!
Last week I turned 24 years old (Yay!). As I’ve been dreaming for a very long time, I spent this birthday in the most amazing city in the world – London.
My day started with a lot of deliveries from my friends in Riga and Tallinn.
I also got a Ticketmaster gift card, which I spent on Depeche Mode ticket (<3), congratulations on the radio, and it was my paydaaaay. After my birthday I also received a postcard with a lovely poem about me and London!
For this special day I’ve decided to take a cable car ride above Thames (ommmg so high) with my new friends. After that we also visited spotless and enormous Canary Wharf.
Look at this girl! She is living in the best city in the world and she is going to see Depeche Mode next month! How happy she is, you could never imagine!
All I ever wanted, all I ever needed is here in my arms…
My biggest dream came true a week ago. I not simply visited London, I MOVED IN. I still cannot find words to describe how happy I am. Words are very unnecessary…
Today I visited Infogr.am office in Old Town Riga for our Riga TechGirls team meet-up.
Just look at this amazing view from the balcony!
Also wanted to say that it’s such an inspiration to work in a community with such amazing people, with whom you share the vision and want to inspire and motivate other girls and women to educate themselves in IT and maybe even step into technology fields. Most important, women should be brave, motivated, curious, and ready to do something new and awesome!
If this seems close to you and your vision, you can find more information about our community, events and workshops on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Cheers!
